A new lapped-and-capped hardwood timber fence with an oiled finish behind a native garden bed
Featured boundary — Carindale: lapped & capped hardwood, oiled finish

Timber fencing

Warmth that weathers well

Hardwood palings, lapped-and-capped for privacy, or slatted screens around a deck — oiled so the grain stays rich instead of going grey. Timber is the fence you touch on the way past; ours is built to still feel right in year fifteen.

Featured boundary — Victoria Point: frameless glass, certified compliant

Glass & pool fencing

Invisible where it matters

Frameless glass on polished stainless spigots — the pool stays the view, the kids stay safe, and the compliance certificate is lodged before we leave. We handle the inspection booking too, so the paperwork is our job, not yours.

How we work

A fence should be the easiest trade job you ever book. Here's the path from first call to walking the line.

STEP 01

Free measure

We walk the line with you, laser-measure every run, and talk styles and colours at the fence — not from a car window.

Day 1
STEP 02

Fixed quote + neighbour letters

A fixed, itemised quote — and if it’s a shared boundary, we draft the half-cost letters your neighbours actually sign.

Within 24 hrs
STEP 03

Colours & compliance

Colour samples at your door, pool-compliance and council rules checked before a single hole is dug.

Before build
STEP 04

Build days

Old fence out, new posts in concrete, panels up. Most homes are done in two days, and the site is left cleaner than we found it.

2–4 days on site
STEP 05

Walk the line

Final walk-through against the stringline, warranty in your inbox, old fence gone to recycling — not landfill.

Handover

“Three quotes, and Stringline was the only one who measured the slope and explained stepped vs raked panels. The fence proves it.”

Questions, answered

My neighbour should pay half — how does that work?

For a shared boundary fence in Queensland, adjoining owners usually split the cost of a standard fence evenly. We draft the notice letters for you with the itemised quote attached — most neighbours agree within the week, and we don’t book the build until everyone’s signed.

How long will my fence take?

Most homes are two days on site: day one the old fence comes out and posts go in concrete, day two panels and gates go up. Long runs, slopes and automated gates can add a day or two — your quote states the exact build time. Frameless pool glass on an existing slab is usually a single day.

Do you take the old fence away?

Yes — removal and disposal are included in every quote, and steel and timber go to recycling rather than landfill.

Will my pool fence pass inspection?

That’s the job. We build to the current pool-safety standard, book the inspection, and hand you the compliance certificate. If an inspector ever asks for a change, we make it at no charge.

What about sloping blocks?

Sloped boundaries get either stepped panels or a raked (angled) build so there are no gaps underneath — we’ll show you both options at the free measure and price them in the same quote.

Which colours can I choose?

For steel, 20+ colours — we bring the sample fan to your door and match against your roof and garden. Timber is oiled or stained to suit, and slat gates are powder-coated to any of the standard range.
